Edibles FAQs
What does an edible high feel like?
The high you feel from edibles depends on the cannabinoids and other compounds in the edible. Edibles that contain THC often cause heightened feelings of euphoria and relaxation, even compared to smoking. Everyone is different, too, so an edible high will vary by person. Be sure to try out our various edibles to discover which you love the most!
How many hours do you stay high from an edible?
Typically, effects from an edible take 30 minutes to 2 hours to kick in. Then, the high can typically last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours or longer. In fact, depending on several factors, an edible high can last upwards of 12 hours. Residual effects may stick around for up to 24 hours after the initial high kicks in. Fortunately, you peak around the 2 to 4-hour mark. So, while you could be affected into the next day, the effects are mild as you come down.
How strong is a 10mg gummy edible?
Everyone is different, but a 10mg gummy is often a good dose for the occasional cannabis consumer. It depends on your tolerance level, so some may enjoy a full 25mg gummy instead. If the goal is to experience strong effects from THC, 25mg is an excellent strength to use.
What do you do if you accidentally eat an edible?
First, don’t panic. You’re about to be unexpectedly high, but you can get ‘un’high. Stay hydrated, make sure you eat, and take a shower. Go for a walk, and make sure you’re staying around other people. If possible, take some CBD to help cancel out the THC. Otherwise, simply go to sleep. The effects will pass in due time, and you’ll be just fine.
How do I stop being high AF?
When in doubt, take some CBD. Even if you don’t have some CBD, eat a snack and drink plenty of water. Maybe go for a walk with a friend. Take a shower (your friend could stay in the bathroom talking so you know you’re not alone). If nothing else works, go take a nap. Sometimes, the best solution is simply going to sleep.
Why don’t edibles work on some people?
When the THC in edibles enters your liver, our bodies convert it into a separate THC variant: 11-Hydroxy-THC, or 11-OH-THC. The new form of THC is stronger and more psychoactive than the standard delta-9 THC you’d smoke. However, in some cases, your body may instead produce more 11-COOH-THC, also known as 11-Nor-9-carboxy-THC. The 11-COOH-THC is non-psychoactive, so if your body converts THC to that more than the psychoactive variety, a high’s unlikely.
In short, edibles may not work for some people. Some bodies convert THC into a non-psychoactive variant of THC in the liver. That makes consuming THC through your digestive system a no-go if you’re trying to blast off.
Are delta-9 gummies worth it?
Yes, delta-9 THC gummies are totally worth it! Delta-9 gummies pack even more punch than standard delta-8 THC gummies. That’s why our delta-9 gummies are 12mg, while our delta-8 gummies are 25mg each!
