Vape Cartridge FAQs
What are some troubleshooting tips if my vape cartridge isn’t working?
Weather changes during shipping may cause cartridges to arrive clogged. Fortunately, this is completely normal, and your pen is likely not broken. Here’s what you do:
- First, keep the vape cartridge sitting upright for at least 30 minutes.
- Next, rub the cartridge between your hands to warm it. This may pop the bubble in the distillate, likely close to the mouthpiece, which is more likely causing the clog.
- Then, inhale short, quick pulls to help it unclog. Longer pulls from the mouthpiece may make it clog further at this time.
Other tips for when your cart is still clogged:
- You can also insert a paper clip several times into the mouthpiece to potentially clear it. Make sure to use rubbing alcohol to clean distillate off the paper clip before inserting it in each time.
- Keep your vape pen upright as often as possible – especially right after hitting it.
- Likewise, keep the clear piece in the mouthpiece to prevent it from getting dirty when you have to transport it.
What type of vape cartridge is the best?
What is best is usually a matter of personal opinion, and everyone is entitled to their preferences. Some people may want a THC-heavy concentrate with little else in it. Others may want an experience that tastes and feels closer to traditional flower smoking, meaning they may opt for a live resin ceramic vape cartridge. The type of oil within a vape cartridge and what kind of material is used in it can all affect the user experience, so it really depends on the customer as to what the “best” vape cartridge will be.
Are cartridges healthier than smoking?
While not 100% safe, vape cartridges are notably less damaging than traditional smoking. Combustion of plant material creates damaging smoke that has carcinogenic properties. Vape cartridges don’t combust their resin or oil; instead, they evaporate them, leading them to be a superior choice.
What to do if your disposable is clogged?
First, sometimes, there can be issues with any disposable, cart, or other vape product. Weather changes during shipping are the most common culprit.
Our disposables do come pre-charged, but it won’t hurt to plug it in for 30 minutes.
Have the disposable sitting upright for at least 30 minutes, if not longer, before trying the following steps:
- Blow into the charge port. Weird, we know, but it works. When you try blowing into the charging port the air should be able to push through the mouthpiece, if it’s clogged no air will go through or very little will, if it isn’t clogged smoke will come out of the mouthpiece. When blowing into the charging port, quick, short blows work best rather than long, strong ones, as this could further clog it.
- You can also try to rub it between your hands to warm it up. Longer pulls from the mouthpiece will further clog it, short quick pulls will help it get unclogged.
- You can also try to stick a paperclip pretty far into the mouthpiece and try to clear it; when you do this, it’s best to try to pull the distillate out with the paper clip rather than just trying to create a passage for it as leaving it in the mouthpiece will make it clog in the future. You may need to insert the paperclip several times to clear the mouthpiece. If this is the case, please clean the distillate off the paperclip using rubbing alcohol before inserting it again.
Helpful tips:
- If a vape gets clogged, the indicator light won’t come on. If it’s not clogged, when you hit it, the light will turn on.
- When you plug it in, and the light blinks and then goes off, it means it’s fully charged.
- When you hit it, and the light blinks, it means it needs to be charged.
- If charging it, the light will remain on until it’s fully charged and then will turn off. It will not allow you to hit it while charging.
- Keeping your disposable upright as much as possible helps it stay unclogged, especially right after hitting it.
- Keeping the clear piece in the mouthpiece can also prevent clogging if it ends up in a pocket as lent easily gets in the mouthpiece.
Are vape carts stronger than bud?
Vape cartridges are filled with a concentrate derived from cannabis flowers. The concentrated nature of these oils and resins allows the THC within to be considerably stronger.
How many hits are in a vape cartridge?
The number of hits in a vape cartridge is usually determined by the amount of oil or resin it can hold. For example, a 500mg cartridge will last between 250 to 300 puffs. A 1000mg cartridge usually lasts between 500 and 600 puffs.
How long do you hold in a vape hit?
It’s actually not necessary at all to hold in your hit, regardless of whether it’s vapor or smoke. Your lungs absorb the possible THC they’re going to within the first few milliseconds of that hit. Hold your hits in for a max of one second, and don’t feel pressured to hold them for longer!
