Ounce of Hope is proud to present Chokin’ & Tokin’, the region’s first-ever cannabis-themed Jiu Jitsu tournament, August 16th at Midtown Krav Maga & Jiu Jitsu in Memphis.
Whether you're stepping onto the mats or cheering from the sidelines, this event blends competition, community, and a shared commitment to alternative wellness. And of course, expect cannabis in the spotlight.
What to Look Forward To
Chokin’ & Tokin’ isn’t just a catchy name. It’s a celebration of movement, recovery, and modern cannabis culture. Expect a full day of high-level grappling, local connection, and education around cannabis as a tool for wellness.
Tournament Details
- First and second place prizes, including cannabis product bundles
- Gi, No-Gi, and Absolute divisions
- Madison Bracket format: grouped by weight, rank, and gender (5-person round robin)
- Each registered fighter receives an exclusive Ounce of Hope gift bag
- $40 fighter registration fee, plus $10 for Absolute division
Date: Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM (end time will depend on number of competitors)

Age requirement: 21+ to compete or consume cannabis. Spectators of all ages are welcome.
Note: Cannabis consumption is not required for participation or admission. Ounce of Hope is providing legal cannabis and THC in the form of hemp. OOH is licensed by the state of TN to cultivate, manufacture, and retail cannabis.

Cannabis at the Event
While local laws prevent smoking on the premises, that doesn’t mean cannabis is off the table. We’ll have a curated selection of edibles and cannabis beverages available to explore, along with plenty of chances to learn more about how cannabis can support performance, recovery, and overall wellness.
Consumption is entirely optional, but the conversation is wide open.
